Safari Auto-login Troubleshooting:

We are aware that some users are experiencing issues with the Safari extension due to a bug in recent iOS versions. We expect this to be fixed in future iOS releases.

In the meantime, you can try the following steps to mitigate the issue. You might need to repeat these steps periodically:

  1. Default Browser:

    1. Make sure Safari is set as your default browser on your phone, in case it isn't already.

  2. Toggle Safari Extension (Off and On):

    1. Open the Settings app and navigate to Safari > Extensions > Testi.
    2. Turn the Testi extension off.
    3. Close all the open tabs of the DVSA website.
    4. Close/kill the Safari app.
    5. Open the DVSA website again (you can tap on a test link within the Testi app). Allow the page to load without the extension (note that auto-login will not function during this step).
    6. Close the tab and close/kill the Safari app.
    7. Return to Settings > Safari > Extensions > Testi and turn the extension back on.
    8. Attempt to log in again.

  3. Kill and Restart Safari:

    1. Toggle the Testi Safari Extension Off.
    2. Force close the Safari app and relaunch it.
    3. Toggle the Testi Safari Extension On.
    4. Attempt to log in again.

  4. Reinstall the Testi App:

    1. Log out from your account
      1. Tap on the profile tab
      2. Tap on the "..." icon
      3. Tap on log out
    2. Uninstall/Delete the Testi app
      1. Delete the Testi app from your device.
      2. Note: Only uninstall the app; do not delete your account.
    3. Reinstall the Testi App:
      1. Download and install the latest version of the Testi app from the app store.
      2. Log in again with the same login details
    4. Enable the Safari Extension Again:
      1. Open the Settings app on your device.
      2. Navigate to Safari > Extensions.
      3. Find and enable the Testi extension.
    5. Try again

  5. Restart the Device:

    1. A simple restart of the iPhone or iPad may resolve the issue.

  6. Clear Safari Browsing Data:

    1. Go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data.
    2. This has been reported to fix the issue in some cases.

  7. Update iOS:

    1. Ensure your device is running the latest iOS version.

  8. Multiple Extensions:

    1. If you have multiple extensions enabled, try to disable all of them but Testi and repeat steps 2-4.
